Come rain or shine, residents in parts of north Manchester may have spotted a cyclist riding around delivering sandwiches on his bike.John, who lives in Unsworth, launched Sandwich Cycle last month after having the idea in the pipeline for years – and business is already booming.Sandwich Cycle offers breakfast and lunch items – ranging from sausage butties, sandwiches, baguettes and soup – around the Prestwich and Whitefield areas via bicycle delivery or collection.
He tested his idea by putting some homemade sandwiches in a cooler bag and taking them down Bury Old Road. And while it appeared to be going well, the entrepreneur always knew he wanted a café space where people had the option to collect their order too.
