The party has further denied that members of the KwaZulu-Natal legislature may also be axed.

has dismissed claims that it is experiencing internal squabbles and that more members are likely to be axed. This comes after the party recalled 18 of its Members of Parliament. That’s almost a third of its 58 MPs sworn in on the 25th of July.

The party is currently operating with an interim structure, which has led to the KwaZulu-Natal interim regional coordinators to question the current state of leadership.The MK Party’s head of Communications Ndaba Gcwabaza says, “So far, it had been rumored the leadership will respond publicly, if they need to. If it is true it would be that the MK wants to strengthen the core of the MK in legislation representation. It would not be that there are issues in the party.
