Limpopo health authorities have taken specimens from learners suspected to have contracted bilharzia

at a school outside Tzaneen.Over 200 learners were tested. Twenty-seven of them are suspected to have contracted the water-borne disease.

Meanwhile, over 150 learners tested positive for the disease at several other schools in the Tzaneen area.“The team that was led by MEC Dieketseng Mashego managed to screen 218 learners out of which twenty-seven were found to be positive, where specimens were taken to the laboratory for testing and results are anticipated.
