Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) confirmed that Global Ikhwan Service Business Holdings (GISBH) has never paid zakat to the agency since its establishment. Muhd. Fikri Naim Harun, Head of the LZS Collection Division, said approximately 20 subsidiaries under GISBH have never paid zakat despite being asked to do so by the agency. He stated that while LZS had previously urged some GISBH subsidiaries to pay zakat, no zakat payments have been received from GISBH's businesses to date.

SHAH ALAM: Lembaga Zakat Selangor mengesahkan Global Ikhwan Service Business Holdings tidak pernah membayar zakat kepada agensi itu sejak penubuhannya.

“Kita pernah berdakwah ke atas beberapa anak syarikat GISBH supaya mereka membayar zakat, namun sehingga kini LZS tidak pernah menerima zakat daripada perniagaan GISBH. Sebelum ini, sebuah kumpulan di media sosial mendedahkan GISBH tidak pernah membayar zakat kepada mana-mana badan yang bertanggungjawab mengutip zakat di negara ini.

Kata Muhd. Fikri, mana-mana pihak yang tidak pernah membayar zakat kepada LZS boleh dikenakan hukuman di bawah jenayah syariah, iaitu dipenjara tiga tahun atau didenda RM5,000 di bawah Enakmen Jenayah Syariah.
