'He will be a giant in the faith movement and the person who loved people and God.'

McCauley, who founded the church in 1979, passed away on Tuesday evening. It was the first church to have an international social justice wing called Hands of Compassion in the 80s.

The leader of the Rhema Bible Church was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed away at his family home in Johannesburg. The church has over 45 000 members. “He spoke life to the very end and he stood for injustice. He was never shy to speak for something that was so great, but he will be a giant in the faith movement and the person who loved people and God,” says family spokesperson Pastor Wayne Chafunya.McCauley was a spiritual mentor to many individuals.
