A Manchester tattoo artist has spoken out against companies promoting finance options for tattoos, urging people not to go into debt for body art.
Posting under the handle @pippa.ink, Pippa voiced her concerns on social media, where she called out the growing trend of financing for tattoos. “As much as us tattoo artists need you to spend money on tattoos, we shouldn’t be promoting something that could potentially get you in debt,” she said in a video which garnered more than 4,500 views.
"If you do really want to get that sleeve or back piece finished off, think about getting a credit card with a lower interest rate, talk to your bank, or speak to your artist,” she suggested. In her post's caption, she made her message clear: "Please live within your means. Tattoos are not worth getting yourself in debt for."
