The weather was perfect for the SweetCreek Market Arts and Crafts Festival in Pike Road. Around 100 vendors from all over the state came out to sell their products and enjoy the fall event at SweetCreek Farms. The free festival had activities for people of all ages including hayrides, inflatables, farm animals to pet, and beautiful artwork for sale.
Many of the vendors are small business owners, and they encourage people to buy local. SweetCreek Farms owner Reed Ingram said, “It’s a time of harvest – its fall. And this is a time to bring all your neighbors out and fellowship with them, and just teach the kids about agritourism and what things people make. I feel like this is important.”
Pike Road resident Ebony Lawson brought her family to have some fun outdoors. “It is nice to see each other outside of a professional setting, just being able to fellowship together, the kids being able to see their friends from school and from the neighborhood, and just letting our hair down and have some fun,” said Lawson. At Home to close store at Eastdale Mall in Montgomery
