BRASILIA (Reuters) - Brazil's Collective Defense Institute has filed two lawsuits demanding 3 billion reais ($525.27 million) from the Brazilian units of TikTok, Kwai and Meta Platforms for allegedly failing to create mechanisms to prevent indiscriminate use of these social media platforms by minors, according to initial petitions seen by Reuters.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opens on a positive note on Tuesday, rising in early trade after six consecutive sessions of decline, tracking Wall Street's overnight gains.

Inter-Pacific Research noted that the FBM KLCI’s failure to hold successive technical support levels suggests a bleak near-term outlook, with downbeat conditions likely to continue for now. “Under the prevailing environment, the next key support at the psychological 1,600 level could be tested as there are still few signs of a recovery as yet. If the level breaks, the other support is at 1,595 points, while the resistances are at the 1,618-1,620 levels, followed by the 1,625 level,” Inter-Pacific said.
