Mbeki confident subcommittee will ensure party's positions are consistent with historical idealogies

Former President Thabo Mbeki says the ANC needs to develop positions on the ever-evolving global environment, particularly for matters where it doesn’t adopt the African Union stance.

This comes as the ANC’s sub-committee on International Relations hosts a two-day retreat to deliberate on key international developments and the party’s stance within the global environment. Mbeki says he is confident that the subcommittee will ensure the party’s positions are consistent with the historic, political and ideological ideals of the ANC.
