European markets opened lower before rebounding to trade higher, with all sectors showing positive performance. Despite a dip on Monday, regional stocks are projected to finish the year with moderate gains, led by the German market. The FTSE 100 has risen 4.75% year-to-date, while Germany's benchmark has surged almost 19%. The CAC 40 in France has lagged, declining over 3% due to political uncertainty. The Stoxx 600 is up around 5.5% for the year, with banks, telecoms, and financial services leading the way.

The country's benchmark CSI 300 was nonetheless on course to close the year higher, ending three years of losses.
