Telford College is partnering with food company Kraft Heinz to help create the future engineering workforce of tomorrow.

The company, formed by the merger of Kraft Foods and H.J. Heinz Company in 2015, has one of its three UK factories in Telford, where it packages many of the brand’s well-known sauces including ketchup, mayonnaise and brown sauce.

“My dad is an engineer; I’ve watched him grow in the profession and become a manager, and he’s really inspired me to follow his footsteps. I love the problem-solving element of engineering, figuring out how things work. “We found the process of hiring a Telford College apprentice so easy. We were given CVs of so many good candidates. After interviewing a strong group, we hired Lola. I wish we could have taken them all!
