NEW YORK: Solid sales increases in the United States and other key markets lifted McDonald’s second-quarter profits, boosting shares early Friday.Revenues were essentially flat at US$5.3 billion.
Comparable sales in the United States, which accounts for 40% of company revenues, rose 5.7%. Other strong markets included Britain, France and Germany, the company said.
