Hong Kong tycoons and property developers have come under pressure from Beijing for not doing enough to alleviate housing problems in the Chinese-ruled city. Li has said that he deeply regrets that his comments made regarding the protests were misrepresented and reiterated that any actions that violate the rule of law cannot be tolerated.

The move comes as Hong Kong’s government is expected to discuss sweeping emergency laws on Friday that would include banning face masks at protests, two sources told Reuters. Media reported the government was expected to announce the ban effective from midnight.

Dont sugarcoat it. He is bankrolling China and he better bc they have their eye fixated on him very closely. Remember, if you are wealthy in China it is because the government allowed you to obtain that wealth. They can just as easily seize that income and make it their own.

I believe in Li. State media and mainlanders try to smear him, you can assume that Li doesn't kowtow to CCP

有何用。你和CCP连在一起、是想留着这些羊、让他们继续为江家和习家劳作、真的想帮港人、应撵走这些匪~

中共无话可说吧

CCP forces Li Ka-shing to fund local businesses in order to win support over protesters. Get the headline right you muppets
