“We are in a new era and we can negotiate a better deal,” Cooper said at the press conference. “… We are getting a much better stadium and a much better deal.” Cooper’s administration is aiming to file both by Oct. 21 so that Metro Council can begin its formal review at its Nov. 1 meeting. The Titans are holding a press conference the afternoon of Oct. 20 to tout how they’ll “expand their current impact programs and launch a new community benefits platform with economic inclusion, small business and workforce development and direct support for community priorities” as part of the proposed stadium deal.
