Tesla has issued a recall for 35 of its new electric Semi trucks because the parking brake might not engage when applied by the driver

Tesla\n \n is not aware of any crashes or injuries that the problem might have caused. The danger, caused by a valve module that could leak air, is that the truck could roll away if the driver parks the truck or takes their foot off the brake believing that the parking brake is activated. Bendix, a Tesla parts supplier. informed the automaker of a possible problem on February 13, according to paperwork posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website.

PepsiCo reportedly has 36 of the trucks but Tesla has not said, in total, how many of trucks have been produced or delivered. The automaker, which generally does not respond to inquiries from the media, did not answer an email asking for more information about the truck. PepsiCo also did not immediately respond to a request for information about its Tesla Semi truck fleet. There have been numerous reports of Tesla Semi trucks apparently breaking down on the road.

that’s deeply disturbing because the parking brake “should” run on it’s own auxiliary air, i’ve seen pics that suggest it’s electric over air but omg…this is re-engineering a basics safety feature, NOT cool Tesla

Monica_gfngs elonmusk Tesla Quality.

Sabotage? Seems probable IMO. ,elonmusk Tesla should do some investigations. It's too coincidental it seems

Why haven’t any accident report yet if the break doesn’t work. They would jump all over it and would make a headline if incidents like this happened.

Who the hell would want a Tesla? Ugly designs.

CNN going hard.....fap fap fap fap

No issue sell this trucks to ISIS cadres they do not need breaks as evident in Paris attacks.

lol

🥴

All 35?

Like 35 trucks in total? That’s barely a recall, that’s a minor production issue.

man.. I dunno, I think BRAKES are kind of the bare minimum for a car to need to function to be shipped. Ah but Elon clearly knows better.

That tracks.

WHAT IF TRAITOR TRUMP FLEES TO SOUTH AMERICA?

These trucks are dangerous and shouldn’t be on the road.
