Shares of residential building construction firm Persimmon PLC PSN, +5.92% and food retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, +3.81% climbed 5.92% and 3.81%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.39% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.43% at $1.2294 and 0.10% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.12% at €1.1505.
