KENTVILLE, N.S. — A Halifax-based real estate company has come up with an innovative idea to help it develop a modular home community in the Kentville area.Ron Lovett, the company’s founder, CEO and chief community officer, said while the company is not a developer, Vida officials thought it was a good opportunity for them to help in assisting with the home ownership issue.
“Let’s do something impactful, creative and fun,” Lovett said, noting the company prides itself in thinking outside the box. Ricky suggested a gun range and a community grow-up while Bubbles was working on a Kittyland Love Centre taking up 30 to 40 per cent of the backside of the property – things Julian thought weren’t acceptable or practical.
“We really want to push the envelope and boundaries of how do utilize the land to connect and get the community doing things that help them as individuals and help them connect as a group,” Lovett said. “What attributes will be there? We have ideas but we think that we’ve only scratched the surface. We want to get some pretty creative people say, ‘Here’s exactly how I would design the site, here’s where I’d put the units, here’s where I’d put the different amenities, here’s why I thought of those amenities. And so, this is really a blank canvas, which is huge opportunity.
