Lehigh Valley Health Network

The two healthcare networks have signed a definitive agreement paving the way for their future merger.

The deal is expected to be completed later this summer, pending final reviews and execution of closing conditions. The action comes after the Lehigh Valley Health Network and Jefferson Health in December announcedThe new health system will be among the 25 largest in the country.

Jefferson Health CEO Joseph G. Cacchione added the merger “is the future, not only for our organizations but also for care in our region.” A newly integrated Board of Trustees and leadership team is expected to be comprised of members from both systems.
