Cheshire Cheese Company,Christmas Delivery Delays,Customer Complaints

Cheshire Cheese Company faces backlash from customers over Christmas order delays. The company cites unprecedented order volume, staff illnesses, and courier challenges as contributing factors. While some customers received their orders on time, others experienced extended wait times and communication difficulties.

Cheshire Cheese Company has issued an apology to its customers, many of whom are still waiting for their Christmas orders. The company, based on the outskirts of Nantwich, has been inundated with complaints on its social media pages. Among the grievances is a customer who placed an order in mid-November and is yet to receive it, another who made 65 unsuccessful phone calls to the company, and reports of unanswered emails.

The situation has not been helped by a 'technical issue' which meant every customer did not receive a confirmation email, 'staff illnesses', and 'courier challenges', reports Cheshire Live. Despite this, some customers have received their orders in time for Christmas - and are delighted. One said: 'I got mine on time and it is fabulous.' Another added: 'My hampers have arrived beautifully packed.' In a statement, the Cheshire Cheese Company said: 'Whilst most customers have received their Christmas order, we are aware that a very small percentage have not received our usual high standard of service, and for this, we profoundly apologise. 'This year, we have received and fulfilled an unprecedented volume of orders, which compounded with unexpected staff illnesses, as well as courier challenges, has meant we have not been able to delight each and every one of our customers this Christmas as we strive to do. 'Our customers mean a huge amount to us – they always have and always will remain at the heart of what we do, and as a small team, we sincerely regret that we were unable to meet the expectations of every customer this Christmas. 'For anyone who still has any outstanding queries, please contact our team directly who will endeavour to either deliver or refund your orders as soon as possible. We are working to ensure this does not happen again, and thank our customers for their continued support and understanding.'
