Wasn't the term proudly introduced by black musicians?

I alway refused to use the term 'Urban' anyway as it just sounded so damned patronising. RnB, RhythmnAndBlues, Blues, Funk, Jazz, JazzFunk, Reggae, DubReggae, UKG, Grime, Jungle, HipHop, Trap, HouseMusic, Techno, Breakbeat, Dubstep and Soul But NEVER 'Urban'!

Hallelujah. Never thought this day would come!Urban is merely another word for 'black'. Urbanism has kept black male youth poor, uneducated, unemployed, and on the streets in disadvantaged areas. Urban =Non progressive. Touted by Councils, etc MayorofLondon SouthwarkLabour

'A diversity report commissioned by UK Music in 2018 found that ethnic minorities represented 17.8% of roles within the British music industry.' What percentage of Britain is made up of ethnic minorities? 🤔🤔

Presumably an initiative perpetuated by haters of Eminem?

How about city-rap. Or crap for short.
