Experts call the switch to electric vehicles a 'generational shift' not seen since the adoption of oil and gas in the 1800s.

The push to adopt electric vehicles heralds a golden compromise in which Americans continue to drive cars and the environment catches a break thanks to clean energy. The auto industry continues to see companies declare their intention to switch over to producing EVs, with some going so far as to say they plan to only produce electric vehicles in the near future.

The transition to EVs requires several significant components: mining of necessary battery materials, charging station availability, and power grid strength. Electra Battery Materials CEO Trent Mell told FOX Business that the process is a "generational shift" that is unlike anything the country has seen since the initial adoption of oil and the combustion engine, which required a century to build the consistent and reliable energy infrastructure.

Norway, France and the United Kingdom declared intent to ban all conventional cars at various points by 2040, with Norway planning to do so by 2025, according toThe list expanded to include Austria, Iceland, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Singapore, Costa Rica, India, Israel, Korea, Germany and many more, according toTesla CEO Elon Musk speaks at an opening ceremony for Tesla China-made Model Y program in Shanghai, China, Jan. 7, 2020.

Thanks for citing our data. Our polling found a majority of Americans support phasing out sales of new gas cars by 2030. We must start passing the policies and investing in the infrastructure to support the transition to EVs now.

Good strategy would be to locate public EV charging where the drivers burning the most gasoline are located. And add tall signage like gas stations have, to make the chargers visible to gas car drivers who don't have EV charger locating apps.

Let’s hope this gets repealed.

Massive buildout of charging stations is one thing. But new equipment, materials and response protocols from fire and rescue departments nationwide is another. Fighting battery fires poses very different challenges than petroleum fires.

Tell me…. How long do I have to wait at a gas station to recharge my car? I was to piss refuel and be on my way! Can I do that within day 15 minutes and have a full tank for another 350 miles?

Forgot that asoect of it

Go ahead, fry the electrical grids.

Why no Nasdaq futures on bottom-of-screen ticker?
