Sault Ste. Marie City Council tonight awarded a $2,994,000 contract to Ruscio General Contracting to relocate the Mill Market to 73 Brock St., immediately adjacent to the new downtown plaza.
The project will cost more than expected and councillors agreed tonight to kill a proposed extension of the boardwalk at Bondar Marina, with the savings redirected to cover the Mill Market overspend.
So we're up to $13 million now? Spending $3 million to move a market thats open 2 days a week(8 hours total) with parking to a location with no parking? Even less parking when city sells brewery site for condos for $140k. Lol
