Merit, a Harrisburg-based marketing company has moved to Locust Street. A marketing company in Harrisburg has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

PennLive reached out to the company’s attorney, Robert Chernicoff, of the Harrisburg law firm, Cunningham, Chernicoff & Warshawsky PC.The company was founded by Nancy Sacunas in 1990 and purchased by Adam Vasquez in 2015. At that time, it was located at 835 Sir Thomas Court in Lower Paxton Township. at 2201 N. Front Street in Harrisburg; opened additional offices in Chicago, Illinois and Portland, Oregon; acquired the Harrisburg-based marketing agency, FreeFall Creative, and increased the number of employees from six to 30.Merit moved to 121 Locust St. in Harrisburg. By that time the company no longer had offices in Illinois or Oregon but had locations in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Milwaukee.
