U.S. stocks open higher as Treasury yields fall and investors weigh jobless claims data

U.S. stocks opened higher Thursday as investors assessed the latest jobless claims report and Treasury yields fell. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.93% was up 0.6% soon after the opening bell, while the S&P 500 SPX, +1.20% gained 0.9% and the Nasdaq Composite COMP, +1.29% climbed 1.
