Fishamble: The New Play Company won the award in 2016 for the play Silent, described as “a brave, bleak, beautiful production” about homeless man McGoldrig who once had it all but lost it all – including his mind. Written and performed by Pat Kinevane and directed by Jim Culleton, it toured internationally.
