We're taking the other side of the trade on an AI play and a recovering health-care company.

We are buying 50 shares of Advanced Micro Devices at roughly $152.35 and 25 shares of Danaher at $254.93. Following the trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 625 shares of AMD, increasing its weighting to roughly 2.75% from 2.50% and 475 shares of Danaher, increasing its weighting to roughly 3.5% from 3.3%. We are making another buy in AMD as shares of the semiconductor company continue to drift lower following its Oct. 10 Advancing AI event.

The reasons for the sell-off include a slightly weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter outlook; comments about a more gradual bioprocessing recovery in 2025 than what the Street expected; and ongoing headwinds in China. However, we want to take the other side of the trade. Some may have been disappointed by the bioprocessing comments — Jefferies pointed out that "gradual" was said eight times on the earnings call — but even so, the recovery is firmly on track.
