An iconic Australian food company will halt production on its peanut butter range due to “declining customer demand”, much to the disappointment of devoted fans. Sanitarium Health Food Company, the manufacturers of Weet-Bix, said the decision was made earlier this year “after careful consideration and analysis”.

” Production ended in late July. There had been whispers on social media around this time about the disappearance of the much loved products from supermarket shelves. “Seeking any extra light on the disappearance of all forms of Sanitarium peanut butter from usual outlets,” one person asked on Reddit in July. However anger and disappointment from customers on social media has popped up recently as the news began to surface more broadly.
