Some of the U.S. companies with the largest market capitalizations allocate sizable sums for personal security and other measures to help keep their CEOs safe.

Pichai has led Google for nearly a decade. He also sits on the board of directors. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of the corporate parent of Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Threads, gets an "overall security program" as part of his job.
