President-elect Donald Trump said last month that owning and controlling Greenland are “an absolute necessity.” He stated this on his social media platform. He added, “My son, Don Jr, and various representatives, will be traveling there to visit some of the most magnificent areas and sights. Greenland is an incredible place, and the people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our Nation. We will protect it, and cherish it, from a very vicious outside World.
” The post appeared alongside a video clip of a person who can be heard saying that if he could tell Trump anything, he would tell him to 'Buy Greenland.'
