The answer was obvious to Coder who, while in high school, had become a top seller on Esty. “I love business and not so much classroom learning,” she said. Aunt Flow became certified by WBENC as a women-owned business. WBENC is a women’s business development and third-party certifier of businesses that are at least 51% owned and operated by a woman. It provides opportunities for women-owned businesses to meet purchase decision-makers in Fortune 1000 companies. Through WBENC, Coder connected with Staples Business Advantage program. It has become the largest distributor of Aunt Flow dispensers and cartridge refills.

To help men feel more comfortable discussing menstruation, the company launched a marketing campaign — #FlowBro Fridays. From facilities directors to a CEO of an OBGYN medical practice, men talk about why menstruation matters.
