This emerged during engagements with Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula and roleplayers at the Mabopane Train Station, north of Pretoria.
Train services between Mabopane and Pretoria were suspended last December due to the vandalism of rail infrastructure and cable theft that have left thousands of commuters seeking alternative and expensive public transportation. “The SIU prepared the reports based on the probe last year as they were seconded to Prasa. So, the indication was that 42 cases needed to be taken forward with a number of factors on them. Based on those recommendations, we’ve suspended 13 senior officials as of yesterday,” says Mpondo.
They must also find out too what actual work they’ve been doing at PRASA? In my experience not only do they loot the place, pay their bribe suppliers to do way less than the job calls for, but, they add fokol value to the organization. Basically incompetent leaching and stealing.

It seems very soon there will be no one working at Prasa given the rate staff members are being fired or suspended. Any leader with basic understanding of organizations knows shutting down services and firing management are not strategy to turn around an organization.

Just not good enough. All this corruption and theft took place under ANC minister's noses. Charge them, prosecute them, attach their ill-gotten gains and imprison them.
