COVID-19: Power companies to offer free electricity to Nigerians

DAILY POST recalls that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has disclosed that ato ensure the Power Holding Company of Nigeria give Nigerians two months of free electricity.

ANED said they were working on palliative measures to implement free two months power supply to Nigerians to help cushion the effect of Coronavirus pandemic. “In fulfillment of our commitments to the nation, we align ourselves with the efforts of the National Assembly and the Federal Executive to mitigate the hardship that is currently being borne by our customers.

We no even see the unfree light sef. They should just give us light,we will pay ourselves. They are so useless, this is second day we have not have lights at all

Free electricity ke! Does it mean people that are using prepaid meters won't need to recharge? Or are u talking about those that received estimated bills? They are just accumulating it; after the reggae plays the blues

I got the highest bill this month for energy consumption in March 2020. Almost 19k for a single faced line and most times, we don't have light in Mar'20. I shake my head for this country.
