’s Deputy Director and a much-loved figure in the UK biz, has died at the age of 62 following a battle with cancer.
In 1997 she began a 20-year affiliation with UK funder Film4, initially leading the sales team on a slate that featured. Relocating to Dublin in 2001, she worked at independent production company LittleBird, before rejoining the relaunched Film4 in 2004 under Tessa Ross as Head of Commercial Development, working on a slate that includedShe most recently held the post of Deputy Director at the UK funder, working with Director Daniel Battsek.
Sue spent two decades of her career at Film4. She first joined the organisation in 1997, after stints at the BFI’s production division, BBC Worldwide and Palace Pictures, where I first got to know her. Sue’s knowledge and skillset spanned finance, production, marketing, distribution and sales. Her reputation was second to none, and she was a key element of Film4’s relationships with our partners and stakeholders, playing an integral role in many of our most successful and iconic films.
