At the Senate hearing on the resumption of mass transportation, Air Carriers Association of the Philippines vice chairman Roberto Lim said that the industry needs to be able to fly back again to sustain the industry. Lim said the industry is"ready." But Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto disagreed that the aviation industry will be able to come back up anytime soon."We know that's not gonna happen. We're not gonna go back to the 'old normal.'"
In terms of support, Lim said that they need some P8.6 billion per month to sustain the employees and the industry:P500 million for payment to aviation authorities
