The unarmed black man died after a white Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck despite cries from Floyd that he could not breathe.

Many local governments instituted curfews over the weekend in an effort to dissolve mass gatherings. Still, the protests continued into the early hours of Monday morning in some places. CEOs and business leaders are largely voicing support for the demonstrators and calling for aggressive and intentional efforts to reduce socioeconomic inequalities.

That's alot of looting. arson and destroying of places where innocent people have to work. The protests stopped being protests when the looting and arson started. I'd make a bet that most rioters don't know the name of the man killed.

There needs to be a true distinction between civil protesting and criminal activity. Those that are doing criminal acts are not protesters. They are a distraction from the true message. Please don’t let the true message get lost.
