Chip Messenger, a 45-year-old financial planner, is about to become the most popular baseball fan in Southern California. He leases a condominium in the Legend, a luxury building in downtown San Diego, where his private balcony on the 15th floor provides a clear view into Petco Park, the home of the Padres.
Under normal circumstances, a residential amenity that amounts to free, long-distance season tickets counts as a fun perk to brag about to friends and colleagues. But during the coronavirus pandemic, it is one of the most...
Now that the data is in why is anyone still worried about corona? I’m serious. Why would any adult still be worried about it. It’s amazing how naive and gullible people are.
WSJ! Did someone say live YouTube Broadcasts... 💰
Watching sports without fans is extremely boring, and they will prob cancel the season in next couple weeks
I can go the grocery store or riot but they can't figure out a way to 1/4 or 1/3 fill a stadium for ball game? This is all effed up. WhatILearnedToday
And these...
They won’t finish the season so those could be worth thousands!

Idea: purchase a good quality camera, software that helps stream content from it to the internet, and of course, permission from the MLB.
Or you turn on the TV?
Maybe it’s just me but I have a feeling people are thinking about more serious shit right now than full grown men playing children’s games.
Or u could watch TV?
How do they “suddenly” have the most value to baseball fans? As if baseball fans didn’t always know that having a balcony by a ballpark was ideal.
gonna be a lonely summer
I have written market analysis that shows Tesla and EVs are bubble and not sustainable. Cost of analysis: $1390. Let me know if you're interested. Contains totally new information.
Murphy’s bleachers overlooking Wrigley Field have been there forever and have lots of seats for this year. This guy is a flash in the pan in San Diego in comparison.
Who wants to pay to watch the Padres?
Imagine a dinger smashing through that
Sports will never be the same. Democrats...
McClain_on_NFL Johnny on the spot. thx. Turn your J card in. We see your true colors. You’ve got your agenda. Freedom.
Our buddy need not get too excited...this season shall discontinue in a matter of weeks.
Without the fans? What kind of 'view' would that be?
dobra lornetka i żyć nie umierać
With the right marketing those apartments can be sold at a very high price to die hard baseball fans!
I recognize San Diego and the Coronado Bridge.
Meh. The best part of being at a game is the energy of the crowd .
There’s a free park just outside the right field fence.
'Petco' sounds abusive to my dog. Let's tear it down.
I live close to it, the area directly to the East of the ball park was slated for an NFL stadium which the voters did not approve of in 2016. Nowadays the place is a center for homeless, street drugs and gang activity. Chargers PetcoPark

So let's get real. Without the fans, the teams play will not be as stellar as it should be. Televised games could be a boring slog.
Most boring sport in the world. The guy must be filthy.

That’s Petco Park in the Pic
Wrong stadium. Period.
What could possibly make baseball any more boring? Oh yeah, no fans.
TV?
We ain’t got time for that crap .. Buford T Justice
WTF? Read more or be conscious when you read . The season has been canceled.
Could care less. MLB has been in decline for decades. Covid only makes it go faster. It's a game for rich players, owners and ticket holders. No way I'm going to pay $100+ to take my kids to watch MLB. I'd rather take them to the beach for $0.
Personally, I’d let mlb sell 5000 tix per day to start, spread out among sections. Up to 10000 after a month. That’s plenty of room for distancing. Obviously, at risk people should not attend. Common sense.
Way to write articles for the people, but I guess at least this isn't a POTUS hit piece based on anonymous intel.
Nobody cares about rich, overpaid, whiners, playing a game.
is rather watch paint dry
Love Petco park. Great place to visit when in SD.
