"The goal was to focus Mike on being mayor and engaged in good government pursuits, and to make the campaign as much of a non-issue as possible."Hazelbaker liked to tell people: "You never want to get in the way of your own momentum," a lifelong friend of hers recalled.On her first day, Hazelbaker helped handle Google's Hong Kong announcement.
