Finance Minister Mathias Cormann has confirmed the JobKeeper scheme will be extended for a six-month period from the end of September with JobSeeker extended until the end of the year, both at a lower rate. Speaking to Sky News, Mr Cormann said the government believed it “appropriate” to extend JobKeeper by six months as it was “part of weaning business off this transitional support payment”.
