LONDON - Extending Britain's furlough scheme would leave some workers trapped in false hope that they could return to their jobs after the coronavirus pandemic, British finance minister Rishi Sunak said on Friday .
"It's wrong to keep people trapped in a situation and pretend that there is always a job that they can go back to," Sunak told BBC Radio Scotland. "I think the Chancellor has set out a very clear path for that, and I think it is good that he set out a very clear path. It's been a very successful scheme," Bailey told BBC News."But he's right to say we have to we have to look forwards now and move forward."
