CIA analysts reportedly told the White House there's 'no evidence' the Chinese government has accessed TikTok data

US President Donald Trump speaks after touring the Whirlpool Corporation Manufacturing Plant in Clyde, Ohio, on August 6, 2020.CIA analysts told the White House that though it is possible for the Chinese government to access TikTok user data, there is "no evidence" that it has done so, per a New York Times report.

However, President Trump still moved forward with an executive order Thursday night prohibiting US companies from doing business with not only TikTok's parent company ByteDance but also WeChat, a popular app for Chinese citizens. The executive order goes into effect on Sept. 20 and is the latest development in a web of US-led efforts to distance Chinese tech firms over national security concerns.A recent report from the CIA indicates that the Chinese government has not accessed American user data from the video-sharing app TikTok.

The CIA assessment is the latest development in a long series of efforts made by American officials to distance Chinese tech firms from US users over national security concerns. Lawmakers are uneasy about the Chinese government possibly accessing American user data through apps such as TikTok.

How do we get supported? kill a Enemy where it is? we can make one

apparently it's not the reason Trump blocking tiktok, if you know what did US do to the boosting Japanese economy ~35 years ago...

Of course! He just threw a hissy fit after the TicTok kids humiliated him in Tulsa. Duh!

Fake CIA. LOL

I am expecting some guy saying that CIA has been controlled by China...Trump may say that hah

The CIA is corrupt.

Facebook can spy on anyone in the world and give your personal information and data to the U.S government but TikTok can't? And the CIA is saying there's 'no evidence' the Chinese government has access to data?

Where’s the fact checking that tell everyone your spouting ccp propaganda EnemyOfThePeople

Cause ya know, he asked and they said naw 😂

Another Demonrat flat out lie Fake news

The Chinese govt gets access to information via companies controlled by Chinese government. Why is such data visibility built into these apps if not for collection? If it was an oversight why is it not immediately corrected with an update?

Mafia action to blackmail private companies, shameful disgusting political moves for re-election

Can they code in Chinese?

Who cares😆🤷‍♂️. China gets fcked, we are all happy

But can they have access?

so now people just because it is in Trump agenda, and fanatics must be against everything Trump purposes, even if it is good for National Security, are denying, Tik Tok is under China Communist Party Control

No evidence doesn't mean it didn't happen, it just mean they haven't gather enough sources.

All this was propaganda by US tech companies. They feared rightly that TikTok was snatching away their most significant target market (teenagers). So, they convinced StateDept that this was a 'national security' issue. Once US companies buy TikTok, it will be a 'safe app.'

donald just got his ego hurt by the tiktokers ruining his tulsa rally

After what the CIA has done to Trump and his administration they were a part of obamagate

LOL
