NEW YORK, Nov 5 — General Motors reported a jump in third-quarter earnings today as the auto giant cited strong recoveries in the US and China following a big sales hit amid the coronavirus pandemic. The better-than-expected results showed GM’s ability to “manage the business through a global economy under severe stress,” the company said.
Pickup trucks remained popular sellers in the US, and the company said launches of new sport utility vehicles were greeted with strong demand by customers.
