The cosmetics company Lush has admitted to underpaying its Australian workers more than $4m over nearly a decade.
Oh dear
That's crap! I get sick of being followed around in the store like a shop lifter (I'm not, just to be clear.) I love their products, but it sounds like I need to reconsider.
How many cases do we need to read about before we realise underpaying staff is systematic in Australia?
Visited the flagship store on Oxford St a few years ago. The smell in the store was nauseating. I was ignored for 20 minutes before I finally got served. Staff didn't really seem to care about any customer service. Never purchased from a UK store again.
I stopped buying Lush a long time ago, mainly because of all the rumours going on about their habits of mistreating employees in combination with the everything but cheap price tags. I loved their stuff - but I don't support overpriced employee scams. RespectYourEmployees
What a disappointment. Another company off the list.
How about care companies ? We are being underpaid holiday pay in addition to getting less than NMW at night. They’ll take the piss until they’re MADE to pay it. This govt is having the P taken out of them by them flouting rules - they’re laughing at you BorisJohnson
You can’t get away with that shit except in 3rd world countries and the US
I’ve never used them. I went into their shop once and couldn’t cope with the overwhelming odeur of their products. How anyone works in there all day beats me.
thanks
