Amazon selling prescription drugs in US, Prime discounts - Business Insider

Amazon launched its new "Amazon Pharmacy" service Tuesday, which means it is now selling prescription medication in the US.

Prime members get discounts of up to 80% on generic and 40% on brand-name medications when paying without insurance.Visit Business Insider's homepage for more storiesAmazon will start delivering prescription medication to its US customers starting Tuesday with the launch of its new service, Amazon Pharmacy.

This seems.. like a bad idea for all of us collectively. Do we want bezos to be part of every major insustry? This just seems a bit of a slippery slope in terms of corporate power a single company will have. Suppose time will tell.
