The pandemic has already devastated the United Kingdom's live music industry but musicians warn the impact of Brexit could pose a longer lasting threat.
The absence of special dispensation for performers in the UK-EU deal has made touring the continent much harder. Performers within the live music industry are demanding the Johnson government negotiate a solution and are calling for special permits.
England ceased being focus of European music a long time ago. Likewise English is no longer the default language of global pop/rock music. When the financial services sector leaves London for Europe, then they will start to realise the self-inflicted mess they have created.
