Our orders, if received by 2 p.m., ship the same day. That one-month delivery Kline refers to isn’t our fault. Canada Post appears to prioritize Amazon shipments, especially at Christmas and other busy times. At least the tracking number allows us to point a finger at those responsible.
I agree with Kline that our nation’s stores can improve their online offerings. As he notes, the pandemic has resulted in many of us doing our shopping from our beds. Businesses need to move with the times. Product is automatically labelled along a conveyor inside an Amazon “Fulfillment Centre” in Brampton, Ont., in a file photo from July 21, 2017.What can other small businesses do? Start small. Register with Google Local, Bing Places and Apple Maps. At the very least potential customers will know you exist when they do a local search. You may be close enough that they’d be willing to pick up.
. . great article by Stephan Logan. Amazon's mysterious 'sweetheart' deal with Canada Post (especially on📦returns) has made them co-conspirators in Amazon's bid to eliminate competing platforms. Amazon is prepared to absorb hundreds of millions in losses on returns . . FOR NOW !
Uuuummm...except small businesses aren’t supported by the Federal government.
Right, some small business hasn't been able to get a 'handle on it' competing against Amazon before and during pandemic so they need a scapegoat. Yet many small business have been able, why is that, some smarter that the average beaver?

I agree with support local small businesses. But how to find them? Do a google search for an item. Where are the small shops? All I see are big box stores or US companies ... Small business needs to make itself visible...
DW runs the shipping for an online gift shop in ON. Much of their sales are ornaments. CP was gouging them for small packages under 100g. They went thru Xmas with CP but when product shipped 12/9 had not arrived by 1/15 they switched to FedEX.
rexglacer Jessie Kline seems like a complete idiot.
True. How is it that Amazon can ship a package for under $10 that would cost me over $25.
