The founder and presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, has said the Nigerian government cannot assign people to rule over any church in the country.
President Buhari had signed into law CAMA 2020 to replace the 1990 Act, which is now the primary legislation governing companies' creation and supervision in Nigeria as it affects both citizens and foreigners intending to or doing business in Nigeria. Reacting during a service at the headquarters of the Church, Canaanland, Ota in Ogun State, Oyedepo described the Act as a menacing and undemocratic policy that would not see the light of the day.
"Well, I know this must be from someone who woke up from the wrong side of the bed. Please, note this is a warning from the Lord so that I can be free from your blood. This will never work! Now, please note that church runs on patterns delivered by God. He said that you do all things according to the patterns shown to you on the mountain. Moses went to the Lord, set a man over this congregation, not to the government.
DavidOyedepoMin Why u people they vex with Ur pastor, u are the people paying the tiths and offering to God and u want govt to collect it
DavidOyedepoMin Just so we should all know, the government isn't Muslim so I don't see why some of u shoot towards islam cos even the president don't have plenty knowledge about Islam and he's just one person for God's sake!!
DavidOyedepoMin As a way of improving the economy Federal Government empowerment loan is out to full time business men/women,Note loan are from the minimum of (200,000.00 to the maximum of 10,000,000.00).Contact Hon,Adams on +2349034957596 for more details about the loan program).
DavidOyedepoMin If it’s not a business why are you running as such? You have fee paying schools colleges etc I beg who is fooling who😱😜
DavidOyedepoMin There is no doubt that the government and it's personnel are jealous of the progress of the church. Let them set up BOT over mosques and shrines. Whoever that nursed the idea in the first instance is devilish. No way.
DavidOyedepoMin Go and build it in the heaven, if you build it in Nigeria it is company oga pastor
BIGGESTB4GOD DavidOyedepoMin I am beginning to wonder what is the use of CAN? I think they aren't doing enough 😏
DavidOyedepoMin In all honesty, churches are company now. Thus says me
DavidOyedepoMin Am sure the late buhari want to go back to uk to be DECLONED..
A3Adewunmi DavidOyedepoMin I don't know why pple can't talk and revolt against this nonsensical policy most especially those that believe they can talk more on tweeter, the Christians why this gross silence is it until they Berge into ur houses and ask you to renounce ur faith? Wake up please
DavidOyedepoMin The out of context tithing doctrines, the stage-managed testimonies, and the miracle faking sprees, are the lifelines of their dubious enterprise.
DavidOyedepoMin But church generate money? I am totally in support of Apc Sunni Muslim dictatorial regime to appoint BOT of churches and change them as well.
DavidOyedepoMin But churches run companies
DavidOyedepoMin They want to appoint one Mallam or Alhaji to head our churches. They want everything in the country to go down with them as they are going down.
DavidOyedepoMin But in old testament churches worked in hand with gov🙄🙄
DavidOyedepoMin But church owners (otherwise known as pastors) can own multiple cars and private jets, living like demi-gods and owning properties home and abroad. All on ppls tithes and offerings (which Jesus himself never did).
DavidOyedepoMin Churches are the biggest and the most profitable company in nigeria. If you as me I think the ushers, choirs etc should be paid monthly salary bcos no be only pastor they do God work una follow. Last last a lot of our pastors are hustlers including this one complaining
DavidOyedepoMin Can oyedepo claim that he runs his church as a non profit organisation? Can he also claim that there is nothing his or other mega churches have engaged in that does not require oversight and regulation?
DavidOyedepoMin SEE AS BURNA BOY CELEBRATE HIS FIRST GRAMMY AWARD IN A NEW STYLE 👇👇
DavidOyedepoMin This man should just shut up abeg. There are more urgent matters to deal with in Nigeria.
DavidOyedepoMin As long as you pay tax, it’s a company sir.
DavidOyedepoMin The funny thing is that government will appoint the chairman of cama from fulani who know no nothing about christianity
DavidOyedepoMin This moves will be the move that will finally destroy Buhari and his cohorts life.
DavidOyedepoMin Quote my words, all pastors in Nigeria will be used as firewood in Hell fire 🔥. They themselves know that they need no visa to enter hell fire. Our pastors are worse oppressors than our politicians. If u fail to speak against oppression then u are worse than d oppressors.
DavidOyedepoMin You can regulate churches but appointing people over people.. the Church go empty n I think that's not okay.
DavidOyedepoMin Let's chase out these foreign Religions from Africa and restore back the greatness of Afrika. Join the Pan-African Assembly
DavidOyedepoMin Churches are businesses, they have businesses and they must pay tax
DavidOyedepoMin In new CAMA, church is not mentioned but associations are mentioned. Some associated companies hid under church. Your church has over 200 vehicles, companies and enterprises and you want to separate them from CAMA is no longer working the new law has captured them not the church
DavidOyedepoMin But did he register with CAC and obtained the certificate? Did he ever used the CAC certificate to open bank account for the church? If it is yes, then it is under government control. Else he should disregister his church from CAC.
DavidOyedepoMin Stay out of politics or political motivated activities. Do GOD'S work and leave politics to GOD to judge
DavidOyedepoMin Let's wait and see how they impose thi CAMA over the mosques also then you'll see the mother of disagreements and terrorism from another angle, they are playing with fire here thinking they're working against christianity. Clueless regime from all facets. 2023 should come fast!!
DavidOyedepoMin Why did you registered with CAC?
DavidOyedepoMin Ole
DavidOyedepoMin 👍👍💞💞
DavidOyedepoMin Truly, modern churches are the multi billions business center..and their CEO (pastors) are just like a yahoo guys, extorting money from people (maga) using the biblical way to control their mind... any way, government don't have business in their doing
DavidOyedepoMin Why including church under CAMA 2020? If church must be included, what about mosque? Why excluding mosque and other religious organisations? This is an attack on church in Nigeria and should not stand.
DavidOyedepoMin I don't know why some are putting Dr frustration on Churches instead of govt.
DavidOyedepoMin Old gist
DavidOyedepoMin Gov is not going to force any one who are not member of the same organization on Church or NGO. Church committee are empower by CAMA law to do that. Why Daddy GO is afraid is that member of church may explore CAMA law against them especially in financial depart.. of the church.
DavidOyedepoMin
DavidOyedepoMin Nigerian pastors are one of the problems of Nigeria. Martin Luther King Jnr. was a pastor but he fought for the political freedom of the blacks unlike Nigerian pastors who cares only about tithes. I pity them languishing in the name religion
DavidOyedepoMin We say NO to Islamic Fanatic conquest by the FOOLANI Caliphates 🤧
DavidOyedepoMin Organizations are required to setup board of trustees member which will oversea financial activities of the org. The board will comprise members of the same organization and they're empower to sanction founder, pastor, bishop etc if there is financial reckless linked to them.
DavidOyedepoMin Unfortunately, the ‘business’ style and antics of the so called men of God is driving the state to believe Churches are businesses which should pay taxes to it. When you hear of a private jet purchase in Nigeria today, it is more likely to be a pastor than a corporate CEO
DavidOyedepoMin Questions you should never ask a student who just moved abroad | Ask this instead
DavidOyedepoMin If Nigeria Government want to borrow money from churches, they should say it. instead of using back door tactics that will not work. Come to think of it, even ordinary political parties they can't regulate now they want to regulate church, they should regulate their brain first.
DavidOyedepoMin Don't mind the out of mind clueless knowledgeless bunch of people Satan is working in them they shall be disgraced
DavidOyedepoMin Hope he read it well before this outbursts?
DavidOyedepoMin Anyone that believes church is a business, he/she should start his/her own and stop commenting nonsense here.
DavidOyedepoMin But they are companies in some other countries where Living Faith Church branches are, right? Jesus Christ is our greatest example, and to the best of my knowledge, he obeyed earthly laws. He was accountable to unaccountable earthly leaders, so who are we not to in our days?
DavidOyedepoMin Not business? LMAO
DavidOyedepoMin Most Nigerians are foolish, yes I said so. When it comes to talking about churches, they all quickly rush to spew all sorts of nonsense against the church I dnt know whether it is a way to tell people they are woke or not religious. You dnt really understand what is happening
DavidOyedepoMin So you can keep buying more private jets and living in massive mansions while your members are struggling through the pandemic? Yea right! 😏
DavidOyedepoMin ALL BUSINESSES RUN BY THE CHURCH/MOSQUE/SHRINE SHOULD BE TAXED.
DavidOyedepoMin If the church is not a company, please why are they registered with the corporate affairs commission? Pls, someone shud educate me Awon weyrey
DavidOyedepoMin Most of the Churches in Nigeria including yours (Oyedepo) are businesses!
DavidOyedepoMin Tax the church business house not the church. Nothing like appointment. Church should reject
DavidOyedepoMin Church's in Nigeria is indeed a business center while the pastors are the owners of the business.
DavidOyedepoMin I think government should start collecting taxes from churches, they make money more than companies, all these churches are running businesses
DavidOyedepoMin Religion should be banned in nigeria. The objective of religion is to promote morals, patience and humility, but in nigeria it's aim is to promote greed, intolerance and stupidity
DavidOyedepoMin Whala
DavidOyedepoMin In Nigeria this days churches are business..... The gave us Osibanjo as a savior and the brain behind it all was Rev father Mbaka who said Buhari is the God sent that God told him that...... Him know hear anything fake men this day.
DavidOyedepoMin How are the churches giving back to society, church is not a profit making organisation but all the schools under Nigeria churches are private and it can't be afford by common people, during the time of foreign missionaries free education was priority which you pastor benefit.
DavidOyedepoMin This man you rest joor , pastors are greedy
DavidOyedepoMin It must not happen
DavidOyedepoMin Let's wait for the court ruling no point flexing on social mefia
DavidOyedepoMin Government Want follow una dey drive private jets nah Government like yahoo business too
DavidOyedepoMin Does government appoint people over Islam in Nigeria. If church is a business the government should open their own church and start generating revenue. If the church was as wretched as it was before, will government want to regulate her.
DavidOyedepoMin Churches that have companies should be paying taxes o. Their companies are private o not for the public
DavidOyedepoMin I hope you guys understand the deceptive moves of this government. They can easily appoint a christian sellout or even Muslim fanatic to head this ministry of the government in order to fully implement their evil agenda. Y'all should wake up NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS
DavidOyedepoMin Govt should whatever they like with our churches... do away with our pastors! They are incompetent! Where were they during Endsars ? Foreign pastors lead protests! You can’t tell all ur members to fill the streets n join us for a revolution yet you want prayers to solve this
DavidOyedepoMin Imagine the nonsense and insult to christians in Nigeria
DavidOyedepoMin So u pple can keep buying jets with offering & tithes?
DavidOyedepoMin The government should do what is necessary for the country and leave the church alone, hope the mosque will also be included in the cama policy. What a government
DavidOyedepoMin Says Who? The Church Presently Is The Largest Business In Nigeria With A Lot Of Their Business Centres Scattered In Every Look And Cranny Of Each Street. Unfortunately, They Deceive Their Members That They Are Working For God While The Leaders Buy Private Jets And Luxurious Cars.
DavidOyedepoMin Daddy has a point , but try patronize us too🕊🌧
DavidOyedepoMin Any firm making money is a business , this government policy is not peculiar to Nigeria.
DavidOyedepoMin
