Cut the fucker in half ppl, let’s get this traffic moving. Geez

When this incident is done and dusted the Suez Canal Company are going to have to buy a bucket load of tugs to prevent it happening again with another VLC vessel. I would suggest that at least one of their new purchases be the post powerful tug that’s currently available.

They must be able to get a load of powerful tugs to pull the aft and stern round, surely.

Note to all terrorists - if you want to cause global chaos just sink a ship in the Panama and Suez canals, thanks to all the media outlets for reporting this continuously

I think the Suez Canal was designed for the cargo. It’s when the boat go there that the problems started…

Rerouting of ships in the event of a stunted flow of vessels, occasioned by obstacles along the canal or any route for that matter, must always be on the table by shipping companies! Yes it be inexpedient and costly to do it,but that helps to mitigate losses for all parties!

Rerouting to the southern tip of Africa is the only short-term solution to safeguard global trade between the East & West

So We Have A Pandemic. People Are Dying. Let's Talk Suez.

The words from the Captain, ‘them sat navs are shit tho’.

How can it be that in the 21st century one ship can disrupt the whole system of transferring goods by sea to Europe? EVERGIVEN everfail

I suggest a quick and effective solution. NaCl and NaCa salts need to be dissolved around the ship This will create more buoyancy and the ship will quickly detach from the bottom, digging up the shoreline creates a shallowness and further aggravates the situation.

Austin Powers vibe

we need more of those flying ships seen off cornwall

Germany electric car and 60% US states marginal emissions = 550g CO2/kWh 550 x 0.2 kWh x km = 110g CO2. petrol car = 120g CO2. battery = +5tons CO2. another battery after 10-12 years: +5t CO2 does this really help to reduce CO2?

Cannot the British and the French send some helpful troops to establish order there? Perhaps the Israelis can help from the East.

I cannot get my head around this, it’s 2021 and we can put machines on Mars, yet cannot move this beast of a ship.

They should build a bypass around it, paid for by charging tourists $20 to see the stuck ship.

Good to see everyone reacting ..... several days later.

Has anyone thought of straightening it up again? Could be an idea.

Couple of drunk buddies of mine could drag that skiff out of the canal with some tugboats. This is economic warfare.

Is there any increased risk for piracy acts when ships will get near the african horn ?
