MSCHF Product Studio, which has partnered with the rapper, argues the shoes are works of art and consumers aren't being misled, but a federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order.from being sold. Or at least, whatever has not already been shipped.filed a trademark lawsuit
MSCHF asserts that just like an earlier limited-edition of Jesus Shoes, these will be displayed in artistic collections, perhaps in museums. It further contends that confusion isn't likely given the sophistication of purchasers. As to MSCHF, Judge Komitee pushed the defendant to lay out the First Amendment arguments and precedent for why the modified shoes should get a pass.test among other defenses. That test directs judges to examine whether use of a mark has artistic relevance, and if so, whether the work is explicitly misleading. Other cases that have come up include. "There's no statements that Nike is affiliated," MSCHF's lawyer told the court.
Who have they hired at mschf as their legal team. You are selling shoes with the Nike logo on them - if Nike did not give you permission it's trademark infringement. Stupidity at it's finest
If I were Nike I would settle by requiring that half the cost of each shoe be donated to TrevorProject and allow them to claim it as a work of art with a one-time chance to do this.
Could easily go to 13 grand
On Easter Friday....
Hail Mephisto.
People way to hurt over these and forget that the jesus shoes came out too from the same people. Who are you really mad at in this situation?
Scam

I wonder how this works since they sold out already?
Yeah , any one has their own life and decisions ... But ! why they designed it ... to begin with. Iam kinda guy who i think believe in god ... but i havent seen or remmember nike had a shoe branded on god or ... but the question is why satan .... thats fu... wierd to me...
Good!!! That’s what they get for stealing the Nike logo. Nike didn’t give permission for using their trademark.
Now I want a pair
There's no reason to pull this shoe. Anyone not liking the concept can simply not buy it. No one believes Nike would be behind the creation of such a shoe outside of it's initial work. Collectible / special edition artistic versions using nike shoes aren't anything new.
oh for gods sake. Does the court not have more important shit to worry about?
