A lookalike drug dealer impersonated Conor McGregor and even handed out business cards with the iconic UFC fighter's name on them. The 34-year-old was detained after trying to get rid of class A drugs and the two mobile phones he had on him, the Daily Star reports.
When he was stopped in Stanwell, Surrey, he told officers his name was 'Conor' and had several hundred cards with the 'McGregor Enterprise' written on the front and 'best drops in Surrey' on the back. His mugshot shows him sporting a resemblance to the legendary UFC fighter, even copying McGregor's beard and hair style.Nye was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court earlier in April.
Surrey Police said officers found a large amount of boric acid, a cutting agent which is used by dealers to cut drugs and can have serious health implications for users themselves.Surrey Police said in a statement: "Thanks to the work of our proactive drugs teams, we have taken yet another dealer off our streets and prevented Mark from causing further harm to the victims of his crimes.
The previous year McGregor, 32, grabbed a metal trolley and threw it, shattering the window of a bus carrying UFC rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in New York.
