This town is booming but businesses can't find enough space

The general manager of Kingborough Council, Gary Arnold confirmed most of the industrial-zoned land in Kingborough is already developed or has constraints that limit its potential.

"It is likely to be addressed as part of the formal review, Southern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy."Research commissioned by Hobart City Council and conducted by AEC Group, found the economy of the Kingborough municipality is expected to keep growing driven by construction, retail trade, education and training and health care.

"I used to work in Kingston as a nurse and that was a three minute drive…the difference is significant, it adds an extra two hours onto your day." "I think they predicted that 700 would build in our area … I've noticed even in the last six months the increase in traffic on the road."With local businesses doing well and creating local jobs, it's expected more residents will be able to work locally in the coming years, taking pressure off the Southern Outlet.

Filled with confidence about the future, the business took its biggest financial gamble during worldwide chaos, and it paid off.

Some of these places would turn over 3500 a day if not more. Oh well it’s the casual employees that will get screwed and unable to pay rent no doubt. 🤷‍♂️ Victorians including Dan's own team are paying a real high price for Dan's pride and incompetence sad.
